When I was in college, my crew only turned the teevee on to watch sports, complain about music videos, and screen anime DVDs. One of our favorites series was Rurouni Kenshin, the story of a roaming redheaded samurai whose cheerful upbeat persona masked an invincible killing machine. Next year, Kenshin and his reverse- bladed katana hit the big screen in a live-action adaptation in Japan. Here's some production photos...
The movie drops on August 28th, 2012 all over Japan. Hopefully it will make the arthouse rounds or something stateside...
